Cal Coast Mahjong
Meet Sylvia, from Cal Coast Mahjong
I was raised in Santa Barbara, earned a college education in San Luis Obispo, and now live in Ventura county, California. My life along the central coast naturally paved the way for Cal Coast Mahjong.
My passion for American Mahjong started when I took lessons with a group of friends. I was hooked on its complex strategy and intricate rules.
That spark evolved into introducing the fun to my family and leading me to become a dedicated instructor.
In my spare time I'm playing with friends, diving into a competitive round of Siamese Mahjong with my husband, or taking on my kids in a spirited match.
My instruction is based on the
National Mah Jongg League rules, so you feel confident to play at any table.
I cultivate an environment where genuine connection and learning go hand-in-hand. Every question is welcomed at the table.
